Atkinson Engineering Inc. is a Hamilton, Ontario based consulting firm offering architectural and multi-discipline engineering services. The company was established as a consulting engineering practice by A.H. Atkinson in 1960 and incorporated by Ontario Charter in 1967. It was granted a license to practice architecture in 1985.

The firm is owned by senior partners and employees active in the day to day operations. Our design team includes a registered architect, senior registered professional engineers in the disciplines of civil, structural, mechanical and electrical, and support staff of technologists and technicians.

Atkinson Engineering Inc. offers a broadly experienced multi-disciplined and proven team ready to implement any project large or small. We consistently meet our clients' needs and achieve desired results by providing quality service from initial project development through engineering and design to construction and final commissioning. We develop our client base, based on performance and are eager to form long-term relationships with new clients.

Institutional Sector

We provide architectural and engineering services to institutional clients such as universities, hospitals and school boards. We have carried out a large number of projects involving new construction or renovations to technical, educational, and administrative facilities, requiring architecture and a high engineering component. We have completed numerous hospital projects, involving architecture and multi-discipline engineering for many different medical and administrative departments and building service systems.

Industrial Sector

Atkinson Engineering Inc. has extensive experience in the design of buildings, services, and processes for a wide range of industrial clients. We have completed over 600 projects for the steel industry of varying size and nature and involving all facets of the industry. We have completed numerous projects for the aluminum casting and plastic injection molding sectors including manufacturing plants, machine foundations, and process utilities. We have done extensive engineering for the vegetable oil industry including manufacturing processes, buildings, utilities, and material handling systems.
