Distillation Plant Upgrades

The project involved a major upgrade to a Distillation Plant. The plant consists of twin distillation processes which separate solvent from vegetable oil. Solvent is also recovered from vapours produced at the desolventizers.

The upgrades consisted of the replacement of various process vessels including condensers, evaporators, and dryers to achieve larger and higher quality throughput.

Engineering included an extensive upgrade of piping and stainless steel vapour ducts which was designed to suit the tight site constraints and construction in a hot-work prohibited site.

The structure received two additional levels and various retrofits to suit the new equipment.
