Atkinson Engineering Inc. has spearheaded a broad range of industrial electrical applications. Projects have included:

• Major power distribution systems including switchgears, substations, ductbanks and manholes, grounding, overcurrent protection, and essential power systems.
• Various process line retrofits involving motor control centres, control desks and panels, control rooms, AC/DC drive packages, programmable logic controllers, and layout of exposed and embedded conduit and wiring.
• Instrumentation has involved distributed multi-loop control systems with operator interfaces to single loop systems used to monitor temperature, flow, and other process indicating devices.
• Complete building service packages involving lighting, HVAC and air treatment systems, communications, fire alarm, emergency power, and heat tracing.
• Equipment selection, procurement, installation supervision, and commissioning.
• Load calculations including power factor corrections and energy efficiency surveys.
